FAQ | HOW TO INFO

  • How does My Home Team Radio work?
  • My Home Team Radio contains an adjustable digital delay of up to 60 seconds.  After connecting the unit to your radio or stereo system, you simply increase or decrease the delay until what you hear on the radio happens on the TV.

  • How do I connect My Home Team Radio to my system?
  • Using the supplied cable, connect the headphone jack or either your radio or stereo turner to the input jack of the My Home Team Radio Unit.  The exit jack of My Home Team Radio is connected to head phones, powered computer speakers or your stereo system.

  • Can I use a portable radio as the “feed” for My Home Team Radio?
  • Yes, a portable radio can be used as the broadcast source for My Home Team Radio but a poor input signal will result in poor broadcast quality.

  • Can I use My Home Team Radio in a “Sports Bar”?
  • Yes, your friends may be jealous but connecting the unit using a portable radio and ear phones will allow you to listen to your announcers.  You can also use battery powered computer speakers to listen to the correct call of the game.

  • Can I connect My Home Team Radio to my surround sound system?
  • Yes, your My Home Team Radio unit can be connected to the “Aux Input” port of your stereo surround sound system.

  • Can I use the Head Phone Jack from my stereo tuner as the input to My Home Team Radio and connect to my surround sound system?
  • Check with your surround sound installer.  Some systems will allow this setup but others will not.

  • What is the difference between stereo and mono cables?
  • Stereo cables have two black strips on the connection jack.  Stereo cables will not work on a mono radio and mono cables will not work on stereo radios.

  • How can I find a radio station that broadcasts my teams games?
  • The official team web site usually contains a media relations link that will direct you to a local radio station in your area.  My Home Team Radio has included a direct link to this information for several colleges.

  • Can I use Satellite Radio Systems?
  • Yes, but some Satellite Radio systems have a delay that is longer than the TV delay.  In this situation you can delay the TV using a DVR and then sync the broadcasts with My Home Team Radio.

  • Can I use Web Broadcasts?
  • Yes, but some Web Radio broadcasts have a delay that is longer than the TV delay.  In this situation you can delay the TV using a DVR and then sync the broadcasts with My Home Team Radio.
